Professor Ainsley G. Moloney

In addition to serving as Partner at G&M, Ainsley Moloney is an Associate Professor of Law at Albany Law School, where she teaches various commercial law courses as well as legal research, writing, and analysis. Ainsley concentrates her practice in litigation, corporate bankruptcy, and restructuring law, and also serves on the firm’s Management Committee.

Ainsley started her legal career by serving as a Judicial Law Clerk to Chief Judge Doyle in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Before accepting a position in academia, she practiced for nearly a decade as a restructuring attorney, first at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago where she represented corporate debtors in Chapter 11, and then at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius in Boston, where she advised creditor constituencies on a variety of financial restructuring matters and represented clients in bankruptcy-related litigation.

Before attending law school, Ainsley lived in Paris, France for a number of years, where she worked for White & Case LLP. Ainsley is fluent in French.
